 COSI COSTUME FUN & RUNcosi

Location: COSI Columbus
Hours: Saturday 8 a.m.-noon
Admission: $25-$45
The COSI Costume Fun & Run featuring a 5K race and one mile family fun walk, all with a COSI twist. All participants will receive an event t-shirt, food and beverages at the finish line celebration, and a general admission pass to COSI for our Spooktacular Celebration. Funds raised from this year’s COSI Costume Fun & Run will help support the opening of COSI’s Planetarium.


COSI’S SPOOKTACULAR CELEBRATION

Dates: October 25, 2014
Location: COSI Columbus
Hours: Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Admission: $12.95-$17.95

Ghosts, witches, super heroes, princesses and everyone in between are invited to roam and explore COSI for a day of tricks and treats! Visit different stations throughout COSI to see if they hold a science trick or a tasty treat! Free with COSI admission or Membership.


HALLOWEEN AND FALL FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL

Halloween and fall themed outdoor family activities during the day. Enjoy food, storytelling, games, kid?s crafts and more. Featured art and craft vendors will be displaying and selling their merchandise. Evening children?s events include costume judging and our community supported Trail of Treats in The Enchanted Forest.

HighBall has become one of the most talked about fashion events in the Midwest. The festivities take place directly on High Street in the blocks connecting the famed Short North Arts District to the Arena District and Downtown Columbus.  Billed as “the nation’s fiercest costume party,” Columbus’ HighBall attracts thousands of awesomely attired partiers to the city’s Short North district for two nights, Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25. Among the activities: a Costume Couture Fashion Show, a Public Costume Contest, HighBall Runway Run (a costumed 5K) and a 1980s-themed tribute concert.

Corn Mazes can be scary but nothing compares to the thrill of Halloween on the Hocking. Enjoy a 3/4 mile canoe trip before you embark on a terrifying ride through the haunted campground. For those lucky enough to survive the tour will hear the horrifying Native American ghost story of what Halloween is really about.The fun starts at 6 p.m. on three Saturdays this month, October 11, 18 and 25. Price is $45 per canoe, which holds two adults and two children. The evening kicks off at the Hocking Hills Family Fun Center in Rockbridge.
