Magnetic Message Boards – DIY Thursday

DIY Projects from Buckeye Honda in Lancaster OhioWelcome back to DIY Thursday at Buckeye Honda in Lancaster, Ohio.

Today we are going to show you an idea for a message board that is not only easy but also can be up-cycled later if you don’t want it any longer.

I actually got this idea from a friend of my daughters – Thanks Mary!  Now there are a couple of ways to do this and I would assume that Mary’s is way cooler and more vibrant than the one I made.

You need a cookie sheet, some magnets and ribbon or screws.  Optional fabric or spray paint will take it up a notch.

Now for mine I took the ribbon and put it through the hole and then attached my magnets.  – Poof it is done!  Most cookie sheets already have a hole in it so this is super easy.

Now if you want to take it up a notch you can spray paint the pan in a number of ways, you are only limited by your imagination.  You could also wrap it in fabric to give it a softer look.

Other than the painted ones you could always just wash them off and make me some cookies if you didn’t want to keep it any longer.

  • Use it to post a To-Do List
  • Use it to display children’s art projects
  • Highlight School papers.
  • Display family photos
  • Use it as an inspiration board

The uses are numerous.  If you get a chance to make something like this let us know how you are using it.
