One of the most common phone calls we get in the Service and Parts department at Buckeye Honda in Lancaster Ohio is regarding radio and navigation codes.
When power has been lost to the vehicles electronics system, typically because the battery has been disconnected or has died, the radio and navigation system will lock-up. When you purchased your Honda the dealership salesperson should have supplied you with a card that would have the activation code as well as the device serial number on it. Many of us would like to think that we know exactly where everything is but reality is we were given this card while going over a mound of paperwork and owners manuals and we were getting A NEW CAR… who can remember all of the details.
You can contact Buckeye Honda and we will do our best to retrieve this information for you. Or you can use the a site that Honda has launched recently that can help you as well.
In order to get the code you will need your Honda’s:
- – VIN number
- – Zip code used when you purchased your vehicle
- – Phone number used when you purchased your vehicle
- – Email used when you purchased your vehicle
- – Serial number of the device you want to unlock. Click the link for info on how to get this.
Once you have all that information on hand, visit https://radio-navicode.honda.com/ during working hours and input the data in the “Get Codes” tab. The website’s working hours are: Monday through Friday 7am to 12pm (EST), Saturdays 7am to 9:30pm (EST), and Sundays 7am to 11pm (EST).
