  Ticket Pricing: The cost is $10.
 The money raised from this event will help provide funds to the clients of the Samaritan Center Adult Day Center. Your ticket entitles you to a full barbecue meal and an afternoon of bluegrass music from Locust Ridge. Tickets are available in advance at The Salvation Army Community Center at 228 W. Hubert Ave. or at the door the day of the event. The center provides a solution to 24-hour care and supervision needs. An activity schedule offers social interaction, exercise, crafts, games, musical guests, and special field trips. The center offers an individual plan of care that addresses personal strengths, needs, and interests. Luncheon meals as well as morning and afternoon snacks with provisions for special diets are provided.

 See the annual Perseid meteor shower. Enjoy crafts and displays at the shelter. If the skies aren’t clear we’ll build a campfire and still do the crafts.

Friday mornings are all about kids at Columbus Commons. Commons for Kids kicks off with Columbus Metropolitan Library story time at 10:30 a.m., followed by fun and interactive children’s activities. Kids can enjoy the Reading Room, sponsored by Highlights for Children, use their creativity to build their own Imagination Playground, bounce on inflatables, and take a free spin on the carousel.

This free, two-day event will offer children’s activities, food, dance and music from the heart of Latin America. Festival Latino is the largest Hispanic/Latino event in Ohio, and attracts a multicultural audience from throughout Ohio and the surrounding states. Several national acts will perform, including Panama-born Ruben Blades who has earned 10 Grammy Awards, as well as a Cable ACE Award and Emmy, Independent Spirit, and ALMA nominations for his acting.
