Scott Thomas, employee of Buckeye Honda, is excited about this year’s “Food for the Heart” dinner that will take place Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
Scott’s wife, Tammy, has been president of the Ohio Chapter of the Children’s Heart Foundation for two years now. Their 16 year old son, Adam, was born with heart defects and had to undergo multiple surgeries. The Thomas family is thankful for their son’s current health and therefore continues to support the Children’s Heart Foundation in any way they can.
Scott said this is the fourth year the family will host the Food for the Heart event. The first dinner started with 20-30 people at the Thomas residence. The dinner then grew to about 128 people last year. Ultimately, the amount of people attending continues to increase, hence why the Thomas’ decided to host this year’s event at Buckeye Honda.
Come join friends, family and employees of Buckeye Honda for an evening of food and fun with one hundred percent of the proceeds benefitting the Children’s Heart Foundation. The event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. with homemade pizzas, salads and assorted desserts. Donations of $10 are suggested per person.
Last year, the Thomas family raised $4,000 and already has a matching donation of $4,000 this year. Come support the Thomas family and Buckeye Honda for this year’s Food for the Heart. Buckeye Honda on 2615 N. Memorial Drive is excited to be taking part in such a great cause and looks forward to seeing everyone there.
